While this is only one study, and therefore perhaps suspect, this date is getting uncomfortably close to my prediction of a major climactic disaster in 2012.
Add this to the fact that we are well on our way to setting a record warm calendar year, more preliminary studies showing Greenland melting at an accelerating rate, and increasingly strident alarms about this year's hurricane season, it is a very worrisome trend indeed.
This is one time I'd like to be proven wrong...
